The orphanage has 17 boys and 13 girls of various ages… some have been here for 6 years others one or two years. Some parents have died of aids others are too poor and sent children from villages father away. The family is committed to these children and they are treated as family with a commitment too them that is unconditional and has not ‘time or age’ set when they have to leave. The dream is to buy one acre of land at the edge of the village and build a larger facility for 40 orphans. The land is expensive in India – cost would be $80,000. In the current facility there are some complaints about the noise of the children when they sing (nothing in comparison to the Hindu temple) and drainage problems with water run off.
