Don’t Give Up On Me

Probably what is closest to my heart about God and Christianity is that God’s kindness is often radically surprising to many. For those who don’t know him yet, he’s so much nicer and more compassionate than you could ever imagine. And for many others who have watched faith shrivel from passion to religion to almost nothing because of disappointments – we need reminding.

Ashley Hess was doing great and had won a place on American Idol with so much going for her. You can google her name to see the audition etc. A few years later it all came tumbling down….. and she didn’t have a whole lot of understanding as to why? Many of us, me for sure, can identify. What is so refreshing is that she wrestled and eventually came out and said how tough the journey was. Instead of me writing I’ll step aside because she says it better. Listen to how she came to write her song and then listen to the song.

Nothing is over….. but we all need encouragement to believe for what we do not yet see.
