Visiting Lepers

Will add more pictures to the orphanage Blog tomorrow…..

Today we drove back to Tenali where it had been arranged to meet a group of lepers and share the love of Jesus with them. Sanjeeva and his family have never dome this before because there were not resources. So some of the funds from Jericho Road made it possible to put together twenty care packages of rice, lentils, and oil to distribute. The meeting point was near the railway and the leader of the group brought the exact number of people with him to receive the gifts we had. It is hoped that perhaps this gathering together could happen on a monthly basis in the future.

Jim and I were warmly welcomed and thanked with a presentation of garlands and then it was sprung on me to say a few words about the love of Jesus. I was glad to do so and after a few words we laid hands on each person praying over them for healing and God’s kingdom to overflow love and presence in their hearts. Again this is a time I long to say that fingers grew out of stubs and feet were straightened and healed… and who knows what God has done and will do? All I know is that we will never see anything unless we reach out to those in front of us and start there declaring his grace and power for all – without favorites and without exception.

Perhaps in this blog the pictures can speak more clearly than words……
