I had to add this to my posts. I have been listening Ukrainian music today and the music captures their courage and defiance more than words can express. I have wondered how many of the voices in the choirs are now on the streets, seeking refuge abroad, or even dead? Then it struck me how similar the Ukrainian songs are to the hit musical, Les Misérables. Many of us have flocked to theatres and cinemas and been stirred by the theme of revolution and courage.
Now it’s unfolding yet again during our time. Not a musical, but real life. To be honest I’d rather be working somewhere closer to Ukraine right now helping to feed, or house, or do anything – instead of adding to the tsunami of words. These few words are intended to inspire and feed resolve for Ukraine and all of us to never give up the fight for freedom, no matter what.
